A loss is a loss, even if the margin was not over 100 points, I still reckon one or 2 of the cats and bulldogs games we might be a drubbing to look forwards to, or not look forwards to. Gonna be a long 7 weeks before the final siren rings on a rather turballent season for the EFC.

Make no mistake, GWS played at 50% intensity and were genuinely trash. A good team beats us by 100, but I guess we knew that.

We tried. There was intent and a game plan early. We didn’t kick goals when we could have. Not convinced GWS were on, however.

The older players we know aren’t taking us anywhere cost us a lot.

I thought starting Johnson as sub was a very poor call. Give him a full game. I would have played Shiel as sub.

Gresham running past the GWS bloke and not shepherding to get Merrett clear in the last should be the final stamp on his papers for mine.

I’m choosing to believe they are managing Johnson. He’s the youngest player on an AFL list and didn’t get a pre-season. I don’t think they intended him to play this many games in a row without a rest
