Is anyone here a member of the MCC golf club?
Unfortunately we had it all. Staggered off freezing cold and wet. Drives were going 100 metres into the wind.

Got a chance to play some courses down in Morninton in October. Any recommendations?
Anyone played at Woodend before? Got good reviews, and also have half-price memberships ($325) for 12 months. Given the green fees are only $45 you only need to play 8 times to get your money backā¦
St Andrews and the Dunes are great. Good deals available for Eagle Ridge also.

St. Andrews Beach is great and might be the best non-private course in the whole state.
Iāve played Moonah Links and it was in great shape but as a course I didnāt find it particularly memorable for what it was supposed to be.
I liked the public Cape Schanck course as well.

Yep. They are excellent. Greens challenging at the Dunes. Hope you are a good putter and bunker player.
Itās only an issue if you donāt hit the ball within a meter of the hole like I do

No but he knocked up 35 stableford yesterday. He is a gem of a bloke. Loves my Essendon ring tone on my phone too

Always been a gentleman of the highest order and a great player and captain. Though he was a lousy form 1 geography teacher in 1965.

Hey @Bacchusfox - you seemed to have had difficulties with your teachers who were EFC legends.
Have played Dunes before and had an unbelievable round and at the time shot my personal best score. Loved every minute of it.
Have played SAB as well and enjoyed it.
I also found Moonah (I only played the legends course) a touch dull. The round also went for over 5 hours which was an absolute killer.
Agree though the pnensula is a great place for golf. As is the Bellerine if anyone hasnāt experienced the awesome courses down there.
