Halloween

Not in my neck of the woods.
Over the last few years, yes it increased exponentially, but this time around there are very few houses in the area all gussied up. We’ll see what the 31st brings, but this year the build-up has been very subdued.

Not easy at all for those who end up with damage to their property because they didn’t participate.

My niece is turning 4 and she’s excited to go trick and treating with her neighbour friend. seeing kids having fun is the joy I get out of Halloween

Is it true that fake spiderweb stuff ensnares birds, bats, other critters?

“It can be very harmful for wildlife, especially birds. Birds often use spider silk to build their nests and cannot tell the difference between real and fake webbing. This can result in birds and their young becoming stuck in the webbing. Bats, insects and other wildlife can also become stuck in this material.”

While I do enjoy kids having fun, I am revolted by any and all things that have been appropriated and commercialised by septics. Particularly when it’s from my heritage. It’s a Farking harvest festival, you prize pack of carnts.

And while we’re at it, fark off with putting green dye in your rivers. Fecking cockwombles.

Certainly not my experience with people not participating. I reckon in my immediate area - we’d only have 10% or less participating. Hopefully the bastards doing that to you aren’t around this year.

Don’t worry, the parent-escorted kids will be safely home a couple hours before it gets dark.

It’s soooo un-suited to here and now.

(yes, I already expressed these thoughts two years ago)
