$250k gets you nothing in Port Fairy, but in some of neighbouring small towns like Toolong, Yambuk or Crossley.
I think $400k is the cheapest I’ve seen here and they’re not that flash. $525k for something modern on the outskirts.
$500K gets you a basic free standing house in an outer suburb of Canberra. I think the medium is $650Kish. Wages are higher here though with the public service.
On the downside, you’re in Canberra though.
