Almost totally irrelevant story…
I started playing in a band when I was 14 but none of us could play our instruments properly.
The guitar players brother was an excellent muso and agreed to teach us to play but only the songs he thought we should know. No teeny bopper ■■■■, instead stuff like Lou Reed, Radio Birdman and the Saints. He said one day we would understand and would thank him for it.
