hocking subbed off with a tight groin and someone stood on his hand, didnt want to take any chances. MRI came up clear. Would be “very disappointed if he didnt come up”. So sounds like he is fine
dempsey recovered, right to play this week. Ditto ambrose who has been running flat out now
BJ they didnt reveal much. Has a slight adductor strain, said he would push hard to play but will only play him if he’s right.
hardy had a corky but will play
kommer and hams sound cooked, indefinate how long they will be out for. No time frame on them
Don't want Goddard making it worse. Despite the game it is, have to err on side of caution.
Dempsey off a hammy and in house suspension will be playing VFL
Not sure Belly would get the call up off such limited prep. But will soon see.
Ambrose would have to be big chance of coming straight back in if in full training now.
Absolutely zero chance of Dempsey coming back into the seniors this week; I'd expect him to play 2-3 quarters in the VFL and see how he pulls up from there. Hopefully we have him back for Round 8 against Brissie at the Gabba, otherwise the following week against Sydney over here.
Promising signs re Hocking & Bellchambers, though I'm not sure if T-Bell will be selected this week anyway. Really, really hoping that Goddard will get up; he's badly needed and whilst he's a pro who will do everything he can to play, I have a feeling that the medical staff will play it safe and give him another week off.
As for Ambrose, it sounds like he's a decent chance to play this weekend, though not necessarily in the seniors. If Goddard doesn't get up and they wanna go with a more mobile option than T-Bell, he could be a sneaky chance.
