Injury Updates (Part 1002)

What’s the real story about how Caddy has been managed in his second year? Why is he going overseas? What’s his actual injury? How did he get to this point?

He’s got OP I’m thinking. Just the club covering its backside.

He’s been dealing with groin soreness.

In other words early Osteitis Pubis. We continued playing him through the pain (he was “managed" for a game then came back in after a week”). This club never learns.

Given Langford is going on the same trip and is back playing footy, it may be more about trying to manage any issues Caddy has before they become chronic.

Let’s hope so anyway.

If that’s the case it’s an utter disgrace. There’s no other way to describe it. Just a disgrace.

That’s how I see it. After the year we’ve had with conditioning, wouldn’t you think they’d be cautious on their most valuable asset? Beggars belief. Are we on our way to ruining another talented prospect? I hope not but it’s sheer madness what these people are doing to this club.

I hope all these injured blokes are in someone else’s gym, under a professional strength coach that’s not EFC related, lifting, lifting and then lifting.

I want the big blokes coming back like Tilthorpe, so at least the time is not totally wasted….

A bit of light reading for a Thursday arvo

Why don’t we just outsource fitness and conditioning to Brisbane?

Such miracle workers.

We are, one player at a time.

So Calders, May, Caddy Ridley, Tsatas, McKay, Reid and hopefully Parish should be good for pre-season.

Martin, Hayes, Draper, Bryan, Edwards are miles off it.

Setters, Jones and Cox sound completely cooked.

Extended family member bumped into Jones at and EFL game recently - Jones told him the injury was a dislocated heel and that he had never felt so much pain. Jones said he hoped to commence running at/by XMAS.

I’m old enough to remember when people were talking about how Jones’ injury looked worse than it was and he could be back in 4-6 weeks. Sigh.

Does Parish retire if he blows another calf next year?

Why would he retire when he has a contract?

Yeah, I remeber that and photo’s of him running on a treadmill. Looks like his recovery has regressed. How Essington!

Club may offer to pay a portion of it out if he was open to the idea.

Don’t these long contracts usually have a safety clause for players that can’t get on the park?

Jones will make a great footballer for Airport West once he overcomes his injury concerns, which will probably see him out to the end of his contract, knowing how our rehab works

With the Thilthorpe beard? It’s his beard that makes him a beast!

Nah he has a contract until end of 2027 and he will move to Aberfeldie.
