Injury Updates (Part 1002)

@Aceman , you’re a football person. Much more than me. But even I know teams put players out each week, sometimes for many weeks, hampered by a niggle that prevents them playing near their best.

I will give a you an example. Jeremy Cameron is playing with a nerve issue in his arm injured a while ago. He’s hampered by it. Hasn’t played well for weeks.. Now, nobody is sacking Chris Scott.

Cats are in a completely different spot to us and besides Cameron has still performed in some games and they are in a position to carry him.

Caldwell has been trash all season and there is absolutely no benefit in playing him, absolutely none and even worse he is actually taking CBA’s and midfield minutes away from kids. He is never dropped and the idiots running the show are just happy to let him jog around half arsed

Would love to have at least one season where we have an injury list like the Crows, Cats, Freo or even Brisbane do ATM.

It seems that every year we have either ten plus unavailable for long periods of time or just multiple key players getting injured at the wrong times.

The lack of continuity has hamstrung us for a long time now and is a significant part of our issues.

That’s a relief. He’s not been fully Essingtoned yet.

I wonder why we still care.

Over the past at least two years, I have come away from games saying it is the worst performance I have ever seen from a Bomber team., and yet the last game was easily the worst.

None of my 6 Grandkids have seen a good Bomber team, oldest was born in 2008. Some have never seen a victory.

My mantra is homer Simpson like, worst “so far!”.

and what do they think and feel about it?

One day in the far distant future they might,

Yes, I have the same problem with my grandkids. I indoctrinated my children very early to be Bomber supporters. They of course attempted to do the same with their kid. Unfortunately their kids are gradually falling away. Who could blame them.

I dont know how aware the club is of this. An alienation of a whole generation of supporters will follow if they dont sort this out asap. Hird at least has charisma and will give the young ones some hope.

As Sheedy pointed out all the successful coaches at EFC loved the club. Hird certainly does that.

The game vs Adelaide at the G in round 2 last year is hard to go past

The Twin 90 point losses to the Bulldogs last year

The thrashing in the final round vs Gold Coast last year

Any of a dozen games against Geelong in the last decade

You could go on forever

We’ve won 1 game in 20+ attempts, im sure the club is aware.. probably closer to 30 now right?

I still think last year’s Richmond game was the worst.

They try to enjoy going to footy with us, but are not getting excited at all by the game. They are excited by lunch or dinner with us because they get the eat whatever they want.
