I must be the only one that was disappointed tonight.
When we roll over, we roll over like real bad teams do.
We took all our good players off. Why is that so hard to understand?
I hate losing, esp to collingwood, so i was in the same boat.
It’s a practice match, so why wasn’t there more practice on how to set up when Leuy is off the ground, esp in the last ?
why wasn’t there better set ups when said good players were taken off.
no good IMO saying oh we took our good players off, and just left the rest who were out there to their own devices.
If leuy was to go down in a legit match, we’d be ■■■■■■, you’d want to hope they have plans in place to either not allow that to happen, or at least manage the damage when he’s not on.
It is what it is, however IMO this was a good chance to build some momentum and confidence and enjoyment around the group, with a good solid win.
That being said plently of positives out of tonight, now it’s just figuring out how they all fit together.
Fanta and Green worked well together, and altho stewart didn’t get alot of it, he was rarely beaten in marking contests.
Add Daniher and you have those 4 as the main forwards and our forwardline theoretically is already imroved.
Tippa looked underdone, hopefully rd 1 he is moved back to the hbf, just looks lost as a forward.
We controlled them for most of the game, which is a positive in one sense, but then we just allow too many easy goals to our own dumb play. we should have been 6-8 goals up at 3/4 time, instead of 3-4 ish.
Goddard is cooked, plain and simple and has been for awhile.
The rest, plently to look forward too, just gotta hope all the pieces gel together.
