How Jobe Watson caught his New York girlfriend’s eye with a napkin
“I have never seen him actually play. I have seen him kick a football once in a living room, which was not a huge success. It was in New York and it was a really small apartment and then I asked him if he really played football after that.”
Obviously no good as an “inside midfielder”. De-list
Surely he showed her a few YouTube clips?
"Hey, come over here and let me show you some YouTube clips of myself."
Yeah, nah.
What are you talking about? I sealed the deal with one of my previous girlfriends by showing her this very video of me
In fact, he was on the interchange bench most of the night. 2003 at Docklands.
It was a night I remember, as I saw Timmy’s first game and there I was a generation later to see Jobe.
He had two handballs both effective and laid two good tackles; Bombers smashed Geelong, Damien Peverill was BOG. James Hird played well and Damien Cupido knows caked 5 goals.
By the way, Tim’s first game was vs Richmond in 1977 at Waverley and was a draw! Tim had a lot more kicks and handballs.

And Jobe was playing back DJR. Definitely finished the game at CHB and that’s where he got his 2 handballs ! He ay well have spent considerable time on the bench
Slobbo has written another article about the brownlow and why hasn't it been returned. Just let it go you sorry piece of crap!
FCS Robbo. Just dont go there. That sort of article just stimulates the extreme types like Colbert and Smith, whose mouths start frothing as they type out a knee jerk article in response.
Any news on the captaincy? I read some article somewhere (can’t find it now) where a reporter suggested that Jobe might have removed himself from the running, and I think it was Bluey who responded with something along the lines of “I haven’t heard that”. Apparently they vote has been cast and Worsfold is set to announce it this week?

I got the impression that the announcement will be this week Wannabe. IMO it will be on the day that they ( try to) live stream the intraclub practice game and have scheduled a presser after the match. Thats this Wednesday @0930.

He had one or two chances to kick a goal. My memory was that he handballed when he should have taken at least one easy shot at goal. My friend screamed out: “be more selfish, Watson!”(in a humorous manner).
Edit: I found a vid. recalling his first game. He may not have been in range to kick the goal, but should have kicked it rather than the handball to Rama.
