dont condone spaceys actions for a second.
but i feel all of this is setting a very dangerous precedent. 30 years ago is a long time, and the conduct complained of is quite vague and (relatively) minor in nature.
Im worried that people are a) able to cause this much damage to ones reputation off the back of the incident described, particularly 30 years after the fact, and b) the massive assumptions of guilt.
For all I know Spacey is a completely reformed man. I am conflicted because I honestly struggle to see the fairness in allowing the actions described over 30 years ago to basically end Spaceys career, but Its unfair to keep the victim silent.
I applaud the people who have come forward for doing so, but at the same time I cant help but see it as overly vindictive.
Been thinking about all this a lot lately tbh, and its doing my head in.
