Kosi complains about getting the vest in his 200th

FORMER St Kilda forward Justin Koschitzke has lashed out at his ex-coach Scott Watters for starting him as the substitute in the forward’s final game last year.

Koschitzke, who was also playing his 200th match, said he was offended after being forced to wear the green vest in the final-round clash against Fremantle.

“I’m running through the banner for my 200th, I don’t need to be wearing ‘the Kermit suit’, do I?” Koschitzke told Off the Bench.

"I had sort of been warned, but I’m thinking ‘surely not’.

“It’s my last game. We’re playing Freo. They’re not bringing their good side over. I’ve been here for 13 years, surely I start?”

When asked if he had been offended by Watters’ decision to start him as the sub, Koschitzke said “A little bit, yeah”.

So much so that Koschitzke refused to wear the vest when he ran through the banner at the start of the match.

"I put a tracksuit top over it (the green vest) to warm up, went back down to the rooms, tried to take it off, and our match day manager came over and told me I had to wear it.

"So then we walk out into the race, my lovely wife was sitting there with my son Jack … it was a pretty big day for the Saints.

“Before I grabbed Jack, I took it off and just threw it in the race and went through the banner,” Koschitzke said.

“I wasn’t putting up with that.”

When asked if was a fan of Watters, Koschitzke simply said: “I wasn’t a fan of wearing a green vest in my last game”.

A+ Thread title

The 0.4 he kicked in that game sure embarrassed watters…

Kosi.

Indeed. Have been plenty worse in history, including a certain player I recall Sheeds keeping on the list for 10 years.

He had moments.

Had great peripheral vision.

I'd suggest Bolts & Kevin Walsh would both have kept Kosi pretty quiet if given the job on him. Mind you, Kosi usually did a pretty good job of doing that all by himself.

And what a pretentious knobjockey he comes across as saying ■■■■ like that, he was very fortunate to stay on their list for the last couple of years.

Was really good at trying to be Nick Reiwolt but only successful at knocking himself out in the process. Everything in between was total meh.

Jo Griggs face is priceless

I dont blame him. Watters is/was a farkhead. Who gives someone playing their 200th the green subs vest?

I kind of agree.  It was a nothing game at the end of the season, what's the harm in giving him a full game?  With that said, he should have been delisted about 3 years before, so maybe he shouldn't complain too much

200 more games than all of us.

Ummm speak for yourself. Only 187 more than me

S Watters is a cockring.

When I saw this thread I went ‘wait, he‘s still playing, and ■■■■■■■■ about having to wear their “fat tie” jumper from this week???‘

I pay a lot of attention to St Kilda, you can tell.

I can understand why he would be angry. 200th game and retirement game, and he is the sub? Should never happen imo. Just another man management stuff up by Watters.

On the other side, he was very lucky to even get to 200 games. Considering the amount of garbage he served up for the majority of his career.

In the end he is a massive flog, at club full of flogs. So who gives a stuff.

Please Fold Stkilda

A 200 game player of any club, certainly should have been rewarded with a full game.

Especially under these circumstances.

Last game of season, retirement,he should be a little ■■■■■■.

But i expect Watters was thinking Green is a better  look, than

Maybe sitting for a half wearing Red!

The guy was getting destroyed by rookies at VFL level, FFS.

I think I recall the saints touting him as the next Robert Harvey.
