By the look of him I’m surprised Mick could type anything.
Once we claim Top 2 on Sunday (c’mon f*ckers, we ain’t losing to Norf), how about we keep winning and stay there.
That sounds like a good plan.
Sydney can keep winning and have Top Spot.
im 100% certain they had their “reality check” and “same old essendon” articles ready for after the GWS game.
That’s a reasonable analysis. Your metric for a competitive or uncompetitive quarter is 10+ points differential on the scoreline. Fair enough. I’m assuming by their comments, the club has different metrics.
I do think you can be competitive, and unlucky with the oval ball. There’s a difference, for example, between allowing an opposition midfielder to deliver the ball to a leading forward with no pressure on the kick, compared to the same midfielder managing to deliver it well despite there being pressure on the kick.
For reference, the 2 quarters the coaches have mentioned against Port were quarter 2, where we scored 7 points, and they scored 39 points. And quarter 4, where we scored 1 point, and they scored 26 points. Whether you use a points differential, or percentage, both of those quarters are significantly worse than -10 points.
They still have them on file. Global search and replace, file it and pour another beer or chardonnay
Yeah 10 points is still competitive, just throwing numbers out there. Q2 and Q4 v Port are the standouts - 32 points and 25 points.
Perhaps they would also count the first quarter last week as uncompetitive too.
What spreadsheet software is that?
yeah that’s the new Apple 2 software
Fark “make” finals.
Top 2, home final at the G with the double chance thanks.
You can do it bombers
This year is shaping up as a war of attrition and consistency.
We’re getting the latter part mostly right based on the available evidence so far.
If (big If) we can get the former under control…we are every chance to push for a non-fringe finals spot.
IF - Carlton beat Sydney, and the Bulldogs follow suit the week after,
AND - We beat North and Richmond,
THEN - We will sit on top the ladder by the end of Round 11.
given how challenging and frustrating and “anger-inducing” the last 10+ years have been - if Brad thinks supporters are up and about now, wait and see/hear/feel how it’ll be when we become a winning force
there’s so much pent up emotion to be released when success finally comes our way
just a slash you reckon…?
Well theres also taking a dump if our usual finals activity rears its ugly head?
