Painful loss to that mob.
Won a lot of hardball but lacked polish from there on.
One team was ready to go from the outset, they knew when and where to spread on overturned balls.
Essendon had to work their way back into it which they did, admirably.
Good to see players who were unsighted early, lift their games such as Perkins, Tsatas and even Hobba. Gresham lively.
Redman goes alright at the CBAās when needed.
Reidy can build on his first AfL game in a year.
Hawthorn are the AFLs darlings, they came in with a match behind them. Last year all Rd0 teams won in Rd1 (or at least nearly all). Once we got into the season we were the better side. Everyone thinks Hawthorn is Top 4, so weāre clearly top 2.

1 week is a long time in footy
The way itās going 6 months is going to feel like an eternity.
Iām not sure the 2025 draft/Melbourne death ride/trade for Harley threads have the legs.
Luckily the first game of the year* is only five days away.
