Yesterday wasn’t a great performance but our best footy was always going to come in the 2nd half of the season.
We are not Richmond yet but we area clearly trying to emulate their game plan.
Let me remind you that Richmond were 5-5 in their first year with Caracella. They then went on to with the flag that year.
In 3 of those losses they gave up 5 goal leads. Sound familiar?? Us throwing away similar leads this season (except we’ve held on to win verse Freo, Sydney, Collingwood and Adelaide).
Perhaps this game plan takes longer to learn and implement for a full game. Our fitness should keep improving which will result in us being able to play 4 quarters of this pressure based brand of football.
As we saw in the doggies game this season, if we don’t bring the pressure our defence looks ordinary… much like Richmond - They had 2 blow outs of 80 point losses in 2017 where their pressure was poor.
