I’d try and it would be grand. We’d sit around having tea and Biscuits as we discussed the green shoots of the turn around. We’d nod modestly in agreement, but one mustn’t let themselves get too excited.

Now that we have a predictable, repeatable gameplan so many players seem to be improving. McGrath, Langford, Parish, Ridley, Snelling, Ham … even Sheil’s kicking has improved.

I think it makes a huge difference when players know where their teammates are going to be. Their actions become more instinctive and less panicked.

We’re definitely building.

If we can keep improving, including by executing our game plan against some better sides, then add Joe, Stringer and Hepp… who knows what we can do?

I’m enjoying what I’m seeing week to week and I am for the first time in a long time optimistic we have more improvement to come.

I think it highlights that Woosha has been out of his depth and we needed coaches with tactics and development in mind.

I’m pretty close to that.

Have queries on whether Smack is the guy, I can see either Lav, Townsend or Stewart being preferred.

Also not sure Francis would be preferable as the rotation to someone with more run like Gleeson and Guelfi. This will be a big question that gets answered soonish. Although chances of us not having any injuries is slim.

Agree. I think we’ll need to see how our forward line functions when Joe and Stringer are both fit and firing. Then we’ll need to pick the person that works best with that line-up.

My lid-off team assumes that Francis will continue to develop (as will Draper and Ham). Basically I think he’ll be too talented and versatile to leave out!
