Except I remember in the late 2010s being excited by the youngsters Parish, McGrath, Merrett etc looking good and making it their team. It’s rinse and repeat.
(I really hope me posting in lid on has created a tear in space time that allows us to escape the cycle. Either that or it was all Dodoros fault and this next lot will move from looking good to actually being good long term AFL footballers)
