I actually agree that he’s not the answer.

I’m with you lads on this one, but honestly there wasn’t many others to choose from.
I loathe Lyon & Clakko.
Rutten looked lost most weeks.
Who else was a worthy candidate?

About a month earlier Adam Kingsley would have been available. But yeah, that’s another what if.

Could those 12-inch pythons straighten us out?
If there was anyone with enough strength to do it, it’d be him

Changing a coach won’t do anything you seen the market out their for coaches it’s pretty bleak Brad is the best option we got right now.

If we are to move Brad on it will have to be for some one like Longmire,Chris Scott,Hinkley

Ditching Brad Scott to get Chris Scott would be very funny.

You couldn’t help but want to bring your very best for a bass baritone voiced alpha with cannons like that.

The Port game in 2022 that sealed Rutten’s fate was so bad, even worse than St Kilda a couple of months ago, though probably not as bad as GWS away in 2023.

why not for bailey scott

With how our clubs run, I think Michael Scott is more suited to the role

There was a bloke who may have gone OK, now at Port Melbourne

We’ve spent way to long hung up on “Essendon people” and under the saga cloud. Hard pass

Sometimes you need to go with the best person. Often we have failed at this.

I don’t really care who it is, all I want is long term success. I am happy to give Scott another season, but unless we show progress then he has to go.

Kingsley would have been perfect, doesn’t take any ■■■■ From his players.
Kingsley with Spike McVeigh would have hardened the team up real quick

Im sure another first time coach wouldve worked out well with our group of softies

Harry Jones kicks that goal against Collingwood, Rutten is probably still coach.

Maybe, assuming it kept the players’ heads up enough to dish up something better in the Port and Richmond games. Clarkson becoming (not) available still may have meant Rutten was gone regardless.

Just have a look at the difference decent, natural, quick, small forwards can have. Seriously Geelong have half a dozen of them and we are rolling out fucken Guelfi and Menzie. It’s embarrassing the difference in quality.

Same with Hawthorne, it’s all about your small forward brigade in modern footy and we are at the bottom of the pile.
