List build - where are we going in the next 10,000 posts?

People are allowed to doubt a Vozzo jobs for the boys pick all they want.

Until the club can get a single thing right, they should be doubted and shamed every step of the way.

The only impression I got from the interview is that i should buy a vehicle from Dutton Automotive.

Are you in the market for a Lambo?

Probably more in the Super Amart target market

People should also allow Rosa some time to see if the club did get it right.

Immediately doubting a decision is fine given our track record. Shaming seems premature. Also leads to pretty depressing discussion forum if every decision is bagged without any attempt to decide if it’s good or bad just because we’ve made mistakes in the past.

Totally agree with all that but I think there’s more at play. One of the main problems was that people fell for his charismatic ways and lost sight of the fact that he was poor at his job. Dodoro sucked as a list manager but is an excellent salesman. His body language, tone, pacing and other associated traits filled people with a sense of confidence and assuredness. It’s one of the key reasons there’s so much incompetence among those in positions of authority throughout society. Unfortunately, sometimes confidence trumps competence.

As for Rosa, he’s no Barham but yeah, he didn’t exactly scream strength in that interview with Jobe but you’d be doing yourself (and him) a disservice by looking too deeply into it; it’s nothing more than a 10 minute interview. It’s the results he gets with the list and recruiting that matter and his track record so far is pretty good - a shitload better than that other bozo.

I feel like next year we’re either going to finish bottom 4, or win a final. Either we ride a wave of excitement, with Caddy, Kako, El-Hawli, Martin up forward and it clicks, or the wheels are completley falling off and we only manage to finish above Richmond and WC. Regardless, probably for the better.

Yea I’m critical of this damn club but I agree with your post and I can’t wait for next season as there are so many questions to be answered with this list.

1.Will the Davey Twins make it ?
2. Will Reid and Hayes become permanents in the team ?
3. Will Parish and Ridley get through the season injury free ?
4. Where does Brad play Marto ?
5. Stringer ?
6. Will Redman get back to his best ?
7. Will Tsatas kicking be a liability at Afl level.
8. Will Perkins get serious and go to the next level.
9. Where does Cox play ?
10. Can Draper play predominantly forward all season ?

ā– ā– ā– ā–  that’s optimistic. I’ll take either.

We’ll finish 11th.

I may not even watch the first half of the season.

The second half of the season tells me where this club is really at.

There’s no future where they both are permanents. It’s one of the other

Could very easily play all of McKay, Ridley, Reid and Hayes together.
But moreso, could very easily have Ridley + others injured and having plenty of room for both Hayes and Reid.

I couldn’t care less how nice he is or isn’t.
I just hope he can identify talent, balance a list, and make smart contractual decisions.
I also couldn’t care less if he says zero to the media between now and the conclusion of the draft… and given it is year 1 for him, don’t expect him to say much anyway.

No chance you can have McKay, Ridley, Hayes and Reid in the same backline. Would be the slowest and tallest forward line in history

I wonder if there was any draft when Dodoro actually considered a small forward option over a tall back with a pick under 30.

When was the last time we used a high pick on a small forward under Dodoro anyway?

Zach Merret probably.

And he actually did move into the midfield instead :joy:

That’s what changes clubs.
