Plus when you’re flying as a team, the guys who are good at a couple of things but not the complete package look like jets.
When you’re not going well, their weaknesses get picked out.

Langford gets into Melbournes 22 over Harmes, Sparrow or Jordan and probably others to but it would need a reshuffle.
There’s been a lot of love for Guelfi’s game yesterday, and it got me thinking about the players who are 24-25 years old who have played 50+ games.
Honestly we should be expecting much more from the current list of players, and sitting on the fringes of the squad just isn’t good enough. The growth comes from this group and it’s up to them to improve this club.
I honestly don’t think they’ve been good enough so far.
Guelfi- 67 games
Wright - 91 games
Parish - 120 games
Francis -51 games
Snelling - 43 games*
Redman - 64 games
Laverde - 73 games
Langford - 99 games

Parish, Wright, Laverde, Snelling and Langford not doing enough? The first 3 are all performing on potential while the last 2 have been some of our most important players when they’re on the field.

Alright here’s a crazy idea - on topic.
I know we are still looking for our second KPD, but if 2 out of Reid, Brand and McBride (Zerk yes but that’s looking less likely) come on, do we trade Laverde while we can get a 1st rounder for him?
He just re-signed for 3yrs so nope

Need a minimum four list spots you’d think this year.
In trouble would be:
Hird
Eyre
Ham
Hurley
Francis?
Could they pull the pin on someone like Mcdonagh a year early?

McBride or Brand could be in trouble as well (I haven’t seen either play).
We may rookie Phillips for example to open a list spot

Hird is Cat B so doesn’t really free up a list spot. McBride is the same; keeping him may require using up a list spot.
Stewart might also be at risk?
McDonagh may only be on a one year deal. Blitz doesn’t know.
Although I generally agree, we did cut Gown after his first contract.
At a level, we may need to decide who out of Zerk, Stewart, Reid, Brand, McBride, Francis will be supporting Ridley and Lav and move some of the others on.
Similarly up forward with Baldwin, Eyre, Reid, Cox?, Francis to support Wright & Jones.
