List build - where are we going in the next 10,000 posts?

If we can get one or two of their first rounders for our players you do it but we wont get that

What relevance does the majority of the fan base being unhappy have, apart from place a dent in our Membership numbers next year ?

The fan base’s feelings won’t make us better.
We need an accurate representation of where we are so hard decisions are made.
We’ve had way too many lucky wins since the start of 2024.
I don’t want to see us fall over the line against this Richmond side at the very start of their rebuild.

If we’re not good enough to have the game safe by 3qtr time, I won’t have a problem with them getting over us.
Perhaps then Scott might be coerced to change this flawed, and frankly boring game plan, and he’ll stop playing guys who won’t be on the list in 2026 !

So give up and roll over if the game is not safe by 3qrt time

Basically tank and throw the game away

you gonna take that @Henry_s_Angry_Pills ?

yes, and move the club from tullamarine to clayton reserve

The players won’t do that…obviously.

I’m saying I’m indifferent to winning the game if it’s still a struggle come the last QTR.

What good was winning ALL those close games against WC, North & Sydney, when quality sides like Coll & WB brush us aside easily ?
All it serves to do is the coaching panel get conservative and select Shiel & Laverde, when there were younger clear alternatives.

Yeah, fair call.

I think we’re in positive place to build from - some talented young players, possible NGA, draft picks, apparent war chest etc
That’s where I’m at.

Second post was
“Do you trust Essenton to do it better?”
May have been lacking, it was a genuine question back to original poster not my feeling about our list management

The irony of those winding up Nino with memes whilst repeatedly posting the same opinions of their own lol

It’s simple.

Going the rebuild route does not guarantee we will see success.
But not doing so, guarantees we won’t.

Melbourne also ■■■■■■ up their initial rebuild. And then they didn’t.

Let’s be real though. The doggies are probably top 2-3 sides in the comp. If we showed even a little hesitation, they were always going to smack us.

The sides to beat are, Dogs, Suns and Pies. Look at Brisbane’s past 2 weeks. Should’ve lost to North and got beaten by Melbourne at home. If this had happened to us, you’d all be absolutely frothing in here (not like we already aren’t).

We can criticise narrowly beating bottom sides over the past few weeks, but in reflection, they’re actually pretty decent when comparing how those sides have performed.

All of this while getting 1-2 major injuries a week.

I think we’ve got the building blocks of a competitive side. We obviously have some more holes to fill.

Just reading an article about Humphrey being the #1 ranked general forward in the league right now, thinking about the fact we knew melbourne were absolutely gagging to get their hands on him, that the last two players they went that hard trading up to get were Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett, and that our reaction to that situation was neither “sure, we’ll take your three first round picks” nor “we’ll be taking Humphrey thank you” but instead “huh, they really want Humphrey. That’s weird.”

It’s treason, then

He’s prob ranked the best foward right now because they got the category wrong. He’s being playing about 80% mid the past few weeks.

Not saying he isnt playing well, cos he certainly is
