To be honest that’s just basic sense considering for too long we’ve had massive gaps between playing group ages. For over a decade it has seemed that we’ve just gone in circles, a few former guns retire and the few top enders we have pick up the slack waiting for some kids to develop and help them. Rinse and repeat.
I was a fan of getting Rocky to plug (what I see as) a hole in the middle, but if they are focusing on early twenties so they form a group with our young core then I’ll accept not targeting older free agents.
Having said that they might want to actually recruit someone decent in that age group and not just trot that line out and then use all the picks to draft skinny 18 year olds.
