We should be pillaging the Bulldogs as they have 500 midfielders of equal talent (aside from Bont) and they can’t play them all.
We all know it’s the Pittard Sheridan double for the offseason. Where both will average 20 touches across HBF for the VFL.

We don’t have Rhys Magin any more but I’m not clamouring to replace him.
Would you not agree that that type of player is not really used in our gameplan or basically anyone else’s ?
Not so much about ability as type. You just don’t play 4-5-6 in and under specialists any more, too much of the game is played on turnovers.
Isn’t Sheridan the guy who was rumoured to have cheered while playing for Freo when we played them in rd 3, 2013?
James hird was his hero growing up,Essendon fan growing up,even his favourite childhood footy memory was going into the Essendon rooms!.. hmm I guess he loves the bombers haha!.

I typed Tom Sheridan’s name into YouTube and the first thing that came up was him dropping a sitter of a mark, Cyril picking it up and snapping the sealer in the 2015 preliminary final.

On Tommy Sheridan - I’m not saying I want him or Dodoro wants him. I’m saying that Harvs rates him and would love him at Essendon…
On “Oh and Harvs rates him. Nope.” Funny, I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago where he brought up Tommy Sheridan and said he’d love to have him at EFC. So I will let him know that he himself must be a liar…!

No I wasn’t questioning that he said it, I meant if Harvs rates him I don’t want him. He seems like a great guy but I don’t rate Harvs’ ability to objectively rate players, at least those who he has coached. Seems to get overly attached to his favorites.
That and I just don’t rate Sheridan and we don’t need another slow midfielder who isn’t even that anymore.

Clearly we will have a lot of holes to fill in the list with all the likely retirements/delistings.
I expect we will also be pruning list hard trade wise also. Partially why Howlett and co getting games over Begley for example IMO.
Coaches and list management would now know exactly who they see as worth keeping moving forward. This year was the first time been able to get a good look at everyone.

Except he averages about 24 possessions compared to the 2010-2012 Howlett’s 19
Also, over the past three seasons, he’s collectively averaged 5.7 clearances a game. He would be a very handy pick-up, never said he was a ‘Big Fish’, but a very handy inside midfielder.
He’s one of the biggest turnover merchants in the entire league, so there is that. I reckon if we got him the vast majority would be against him after 1 game, he is just not that good. More to the point, we’re often being undone by the guys of his type who we do pick, they’re not the guys we need for Worsfold’s game plan.
Sheridan I wouldn’t mind for the right price, he’s very forgettable and vanilla, but he is decent and he seems to be the type we’re looking for, good movers who run both ways. We’re replacing Pops and hopefully McGrath comes off the backline next year, Goddard and Baguley soon as well, so like it or not we will need half back flanks/small backs.
Also would greatly annoy barnz and WOB, which is only a positive.
