It was actually minced meat.

A gozleme is a Turkish dish where filling is cooked between two thin slices of a bread like roti, and cut into squares. You end up with about 12 small (say 4cm x 4cm) slices to which you can add sour cream, lemon juice or chili sauce.

Today, I stopped at a Mexican place in Lonsdale St and had a vegetarian bowl with black rice, refried beans, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapeños and a lime and something sauce. About $12, after my hair cut.

Every place mentioned is around the inner city… Being a outer suburban fringe dweller, I’m feeling left out of these fine sounding eateries
