Pommy is brilliant. I love his turn of phrase and could listen to him all day. Get him on any time :ok_hand:t3:

I love Pommys work.

basically saying we should be targetting whoever is playing on McGovern, as susceptible so kick it to them. Drag Weitering away from footy to goal square as well.

Also rates McMahon - great aerially and can make things happen.

PommyInOz was almost too likeable… putting him on the pod unfortunately humanises farkcarlton supporters.

Just so strange to see the optimism after a loss. I suppose the reason for it is that, for once, you could see the club progressing with that game plan and “the kids”. That vision of a future has been missing for a while, now.

It sort of reminded me of the last years of Barry Davis’ tenure as coach.

I agree with Scooter, that we need to back up with more performances like this or, even better.

Weirdly, many of our arguably worst performances came in wins, rather than in losses

We have had only one real howler of a loss this year.

You didn’t sit through the Adelaide game?

I was ready leave before half time

I did. I think it was overblown.

Weird game as we still fought and scored 100 points ourselves. So it’s not like we couldn’t get ours, we just couldn’t stop them from getting theirs.

Not like the 130 to 40 dogs loss

yeah nah. It was a horrible performance.
It was an absolute demolition. If it wasn’t for the last quarter where we kicked 6 goals, the scoreline would have been ugly. It looked like a 100 point belting was on the way. By that stage I was at the pub questioning why I bothered to even go to the game.

Here it is!!! Bombers are showing good signs for the future, however turnovers still hurting recent results.

Here it is!!! We discuss the big loss to the Cats and go through our thoughts on how to process it with such an in-experienced line up. Also Zak Johnson’s poise standing out amongst others with more experience

Funny how quickly the fear sets in after a bad loss. Talk of getting smashed every week if we play too many kids, while wanting to bring back guys who have been out of form for a very long time like they’re guaranteed to significantly improve our fortunes. In the cases of Redman, Langford and McKay, they all played in the Bulldogs game which was not that long ago and a worse overall performance than the Cats game on the weekend.

Only 2 weeks ago we’re a fanbase that is mostly in agreement that the Brisbane loss was one of our best performances of the season. Now after a close loss and a shocker against one of the best sides in the comp, some are desperate for the guys who weren’t playing good footy prior to their injuries to come straight back into the side. This against the backdrop of Essendon traditionally rushing players back into the seniors and suffering either from poor form or injury setbacks to those players.

My take is that the non-kids generally performed poorly over the weekend and they alone could probably have kept the margin closer to the 60 or so points we would have liked, had they been able to execute basic kicks and handballs. If that happens, no one is fretting about the Freo game this Thursday.

Also, can someone remind Grant that Freo only beat North by a kick on the weekend? They’re a fringe top 8 side. If we embarass ourselves, it won’t be solely because of the young players.

I’m so much more happier now, than I was watching the sh*t we dished up earlier in the year…… with a team of players who are taking us nowhere.

Before injuries we had a mediocre team, with mediocre players.

Atleast now I can see some hope for the future.

Brad says for you to hold his beer…

Thanks good listen as usual.

Agree there is a number not ready, but think objectively this is Brad’s choice and there are others who are more ready who could be playing - i.e tsatas. He’s more deserving that others who have got games and id personally be ok for him to play other positions to get senior exposure.

Day wicks and lual getting games ahead of him makes no sense and makes a mockery of selection.
