Happy Xmas guys…love the podcasts. I agreed with all you said re club, chairman etc. good discussion re players old and new. After all the pre season excitement last year I will try and be calm this year. Best wishes to Grant re health and chugging across USA.
Thx again.

Completely agree regarding the lack of communication from the Chairman and senior leaders of the club, to the general membership base.

I decided not to renew my membership for 2020, because I’m sick of hearing second hand information from chairman’s breakfasts etc. The only communication we get is from the head coach and tbh, there isnt a lot to take away from these press conferences and interviews.

I also lost a lot of trust in the club for the lack of preparation coming into the season for the last 2 years. It’s simply not good enough. I’ve had a gutfull of it.

I decided I’d rather donate my membership $ to ASRC where I know it’s going to make a significant difference.

Is that the All Stars Rugby Club?

Sound quality is great.
Thanks for getting the podcast out.

Preseason will be interesting, you both sound bullish over Townsend and Hibberd.

Thanks again for a great podcast @CJohns !

Good listen.
It seems Essendon fans have a much more pragmatic onlook on the upcoming season than the past few years. We just can’t catch a break with injuries and continuous gameplan changes.
I think the closer the season gets the more and more we’ll be written off. The only hope I have is it resembles Richmond’s 2017 lead up.

Cheers mate

Totally agree

Terrific cast to end the season… agree with much of what you say… especially with reining in expectations for next season. Thanks for the effort you put in… really appreciate it. Good luck with your health issues Grant.
Can’t help but feel a little bit excited about seeing what the new players have to offer… and Francis … would be huge for the team if he steps up.

ā€œI’m going to work my butt off to get my pronounciations right this yearā€¦ā€

Next minute… 'Ky-an" this and ā€œKy-anā€ that.
Sorry to have a go, Scott, but I am absolutely convinced/assured that Cian is pronounced ā€˜Key-an’, as in Ian with a hard c in front.
(Unless you pronounce Ian as ā€˜Eye-an’, LOL.)

They also said that Cahill is pronounced CAHL, not CAYL (or Cay-hill).

Well i asked Grant who shared what he thought it was but if i don’t know a new player pronunciation then i dont know. I will check it out but I won’t stress over that stuff.

You should consider more talkback podcasts next year. It’s like verbal blitz.
