The Ridley news this week has been frustrating for me. Very mixed emotions on it.
You can usually tell how the clubâs gone if you look at length of podcasts. 30minutes es no burno
we might need to add one of Fletchers kids to the Cat B list,
Ridley going to Brisbane
Hayes ACL
McKay - struggling
Blakiston - just a battler
Its a dire state of defenders.
Might need to try Jones and Cox back there.
Just give Jordan Butts $2M for his first year and buy him out i say
About him wanting to head off?
Iâm not worried.
He wanted to go, gave the club another shot and heâs back injured again.
Itâs in his best interests to move on and itâs in our best interests to move on.
Eventually, everyone has their breaking point. Paddy Ryder reached it, as did Crameri, Hibberd, Joe Dan, Saad, McKenna and Merrett reached his.
I donât blame anyone to want to leave the club. Almost everyone has gotten into a better situation than the one they were in at our club.
Yeah, good point. The whole backline is starting to look pretty grim when you look at it holistically.
It makes this draft interesting too, because after it Tassie will reap all the rewards. Inversely, slot of successful clubs trade in the players they need to fill out the gaps when they think theyâre ready.
Rids just wants to play. He is thinking the humid climate may help his body and he has family/partner connections all there. I give him credit for staying and giving the club and Inness a go. It hasnt worked out. Honestly i wish him all the best
Also wonder if Ridley was front ended like Merrett and now at the back end of the deal. $$$$ Kachinga
Youâre not wrong and thatâs part of those mixed emotions I was referring to.
On one hand, I totally get it. On the other, Iâm sick of being a feeder club for Brisbane and watching them win Grand Finals. Frustrates me that we canât get these crucial elements right.
Poor old Ridley, just saw the press conference from Scott after the game where Ridley just got a âtight calfâ
It wonât take one year to get right though.
Even though weâve changed List Manager and S&C, it doesnât mean weâve gotten it right. Itâll take time to evolve. And weâll probably need to move them on before we get it right.
We should at the very least be looking for improvement. Higher lows if you will. Coaching and development needs to be better. Still a lot to get right. Unfortunately itâll take time.
I know I point to it often, but Richmond were one year away from winning their premiership and their fans didnât think they were getting right and went for a board challenge. Weâre nowhere near there, weâve just moved on from our version of Terry Wallace.
Having issues with the pods pulling through on Apple podcast for the last couple @CJohns not sure if anyone else having this issue?
mate, youre a ripper. Kudos to you both who show up no matter what
No way.
Cheers mate. Appreciated. Love your own work on NGA and Father Sons as well
Do you know if he has had another setback hence not being selected?
No i havent. Track watchers said he trained fine
Probably just being conservative which makes sense. Maybe managed minutes. Still hope (regardless of what happens) he gets a decent stretch of games through the end of the year
