A rebuild to me, is playing kids above experiences playersā¦ā¦ and doing everything you can to get a top 2 pick.
Weāll see if thatās what weāre doing. I hope it is.

I think they will keep trying to win, to embed desired standards and reinforced cultural traits.
For me itās about resisting the urge to trade or even bring in FAās the next two years. Just build youth talent, then get them fit and developed.
Time will tell, trust is low and scepticism is high.

Thanks again guys. Thanks for being level headed and just supporting the team. Agree with what you were saying about Mckay, clearly down on form and confidence. Sinking the boot in is so needless. I will say that 99% of our supporter base is truly amazing. To support a club that has been through what it has the last 20 years and keep turning up is testament to all.

One thing I noticed about the game was that every time there was a quick kick out of defence our players were ALWAYS caught behind their opponents. Had to be by instruction.

Grant reached new heights of nuffie this week. Setterfield to half back to shoehorn Tsatas into the team. FMD. I would have thought the last 20yrs would have taught all Essendon supporters that you put midfielders in the midfield, half backs to half back etc etc. If your list canāt accommodate this then itās not balanced. Scott is right, anyone thatās excess to the best 22 for their position goes in the VFL as depth.
Setterfield is a bonafide horse s for courses player. Heāll do well against the slower midfields but will struggle against teams that spread well. He is a great match up for Clary but will get destroyed by Daicos or DeGoey.
Shiel is playing well but I still question his place in the team due to longevity. We should have traded him 2 yrs ago and be using that spot to really settle the Hobbs and Tsatas questions.
