MAFS Discussion - time for commitments and committals

I’m not sure that’s the right way to put it, Scotty, but I respect the sentiment

I’ve been so far behind this season and have finally caught up… but honestly, the women this season are just so horrible. Genuine mean girls… Brooke, Gia, Bec, Juliette, even Mel. Some of the stuff that they’ve said… just wow!

Im only into my 3rd week of watching any MAFS ever and this Juliette woman could be the worst person I’ve ever witnessed

On top of being a vile piece of work, this Juliette character is dumb as a box of rocks.

I think she genuinely believes he said he’s a star.

….or you could use this as a topic of conversation to educate. Most normal people, including those that have more traditional values, would recognise his views are retarded.

The last thing we need is Tanya wading in with BS, controlling narrative

I think Mafs is wading into very dangerous territory the way they are either scripting , encouraging and then letting things get as out of hand as they seem to be. there could be violence , self haem all sorts of possibilities . it’s borderline trying to be jerry springer while pretending to be a carefully run social experiment

It’s always been this - and the participants appear too dumb to see it.

They know exactly what they are doing. They run personality and psychological testing on the participants and determine which matches will generate the best TV. Then the producers manipulate certain situations. The “experts” do the same from the couch on these commitment ceremonies. Everything is about manufacturing drama, dialling up social personality disorders, and playing on insecurities.

One extremely obvious trap that they set is with the dinner parties. They ply them unlimited amounts of free alchohol - both pre-dinner and during - and then hope that fights will ensue, which they inevitably do. The alcohol is never called out. The next morning they sit on the couch “I apologise, that really wasn’t me etc etc” but then they go right back to getting tanked and acting the fool. And the “experts” act suprised each and every time at the behaviour, when it’s all so obvious and predictable.

yeah it’s always been this way but has really gone up a level , or down , dependong on how you see it , this year .

it’s always been a joke , but I think the level it’s gone to thos year is potentially really playing with fire
