Malaysian Airlines MH370 missing

Excuse my ignorance but even if it is proven that Russia indeed provided the missiles to the pro-russian Ukrainians, then what?

Absolutely nothing.
Sure some leaders will use firm language and threaten heavier sanctions. Ultimately though Russia is far to strong for any real damage. Plus if they go to hard on Putin he might just actually take over Ukraine

The sanctions will begin to hurt the Russian economy. The new sanctions are aimed at some of Russia's must powerful company's, including oil and gas producers and state-owned defense firms. This will put pressure on the leadership of Putin. But Putin has shown time and time again that he does not take these types of measures all that seriously.

The biggest issue is the flow of arms across the Russian border which has not stopped.

Doesn't most of the Ukraine's gas come from Russia? they can just turn off the taps if they are pushed.

80% of gas comes from Russia and Turkmenistan

So basically the best possible scenario is for the Ukrainians to allow the bodies of the victims to be returned home, nothing more to see here.

It's certainly going to be awkward at the G20 later this year.

You mean the pro-russian separatists, the one's that have looted the bodies, removed or destroyed evidence including the black boxes, shot at and impeded monitors and blew the plane out of the sky

Yeah they're the ones, doesn't look promising does it. Not much anyone can do about it though.

Yep, terrible for the family's to know that their loved one's are still lying in the fields of a war zone and no way to get them home

in a way this crash is worse than MH370

Now it has been reported that those Russian separatist bastards have taken the bodies away and won't let anyone know where they are!  What the hell is Putin thinking?

Who is reporting that?

if thats true it will start a war

if thats true it will start a war

No it won't

Sanctions have only ever worked once in history. Recently with Iran.

if thats true it will start a war

There's already a war on there...

Now it has been reported that those Russian separatist bastards have taken the bodies away and won't let anyone know where they are!  What the hell is Putin thinking?

If this is true, it's a disgrace.

in a way this crash is worse than MH370

Much much worse I'm afraid

Not to mention incomparable.

Who is reporting that?

Sounds like a misreport.
Twelve hours ago, the bodies were being taken away and stored nearby. Around 100 were there. What is happening is the soldiers securing the change often and the way they interact with people at the crash site and even who they give access to information and the site differs depending on who is securing the site.

human nature at its worst.

Can't we just all get along?

Can't we just all get along?

Take religion and greed away from humans and theres a good chance we could.

Everyone watch how useless the UN is. All they have the power to do is jump up and down.

fixed

I'm not buying into the 'war is coming' scenarios, but it is a bit freaky that it's only just ticked over 100 years (June 28) since Gavrilo Princip shot The Archduke.

Clumsy, seemingly insignificant idealists, can start wars.

No Americans on the plane = no meaningful international action = no war.
