After the glimmer of excitement for round 1, expecting some early competitiveness, but getting groundhog day…
I’m happy I’ll be watching my boy play footy at the same time today, yeah there’ll be some poor skills, but at least I’ll get to see some commitment, effort and fight.
Hoping that my good mood and seeing a close-ish score line later, might translate in to watching some of the second half.
Media reporting Essendon’s midfield group flew to Adelaide earlier than anticipated to have sufficient time to pray for the ability to win a clearance at one of the many churches around the ground.

Guarding grass, refusing to chase and tackle, forwards standing flat footed, defence refusing to man up, panic kicking out of defence (looking at you cap), hand balling to teammates in a worse position, and just a lack of basic kicking skills.
Let’s put all that in the bin and give it a red hot go today.
Cancelled Kayo then my wife rejoined in 4K 4 days later as my kids wanted to watch it.
Was trying to detox from the club, even called to cancel my membership. Now I’m back on here reading game day threads and I’ll watch this afternoon, at least the first half.
This club is like salty saturated fats, killing me and like I drug I can’t withdraw permanently
Beautiful sunny day here on the South NSW coast, been for a 10k run this morning, about to take my kids to the beach for a couple of hours - but life is all about balance as they say, so I’m going to torture myself for a couple of hours this afternoon. Can’t wait!
It’s either going to be a complete ■■■■ fest, low scoring, terrible to watch game we might sneak home in or Port Adelaide drop 18 goals on us and win by 50+ points.
