Fair point. But the have been done very good midfields over the years with weak forward lines Infront on them that have gone available a lot better than the pies. Eagles spring to mind. The cats 07 forward weren’t a classical dominate forward line

Yeah I agree, but they have a decent enough midfield that if they got a decent enough forward line they would probably do a bit more damage. Also doesn’t help that their coach and recruiting team seem to lack any ability to recruit forwards and backs.

It forms part of a classic joke.

Pies played OK, we were just better and far more intense today. It was fun to watch, particularly the biffo; I thought Belly and Goddard were gonna pulverise that spud.
Pies need to HTFU if they are to really improve, I don’t think beating up Merrett, Fantasia and Gleeson is gonna convince many people that they are tough guys.
