Thanks Nathan buckley. Any other ‘special’ comments?
One thing is for sure the players will be wrapt that the season is now over and they can go and plan trips and get ■■■■■■
i’ve tried saying “oh i don’t follow footy” but they always know what that means
Thought we will at least show some self respect after last week and put up some fight. Just to loose by five goals or thereabouts. Alas, it wasn’t the case. The Pies don’t even need to get out of second gear.
Started following Essendon when my kid was in Uni… He is now forty+ and I really hope I live long enough to see us win just one more flag. Very sad.
Why? Coaches do not want all those extra players hanging around.
Rutten seemed to have lost the players. Hopefully Scott has the players’ faith and willingness to do what’s needed.
It’s all speculation from the outside and we’ll only know based on what happens in real matches.
And how do you have any clue of where he was during the breaks?
What was the stat they just said on fox footy?
41 goals to our 8 goals in the last two games.
My goodness.
Rutten lost the players. I think the players lost Scott this time around.
Halfway through the 2nd quarter was about as embarrassed as I’ve felt. Knowing what happened last week, to then have THAT as a follow-up effort, was unbelievable. I started to think we might not kick a goal.
Injuries tho
Thank fark that season is over. Thanks for the memories Tippa. That’s all I got to say about that.
After last week and then seeing this was Tippa’s farewell you’d expect a bit of a go.
But not from our lot. That was P iss weak.
Has Zach been crying cos he is captain and has to stay??
Honestly, I think the preseason and training loads are probably the most logical reason for the second half debacle.
I know I repeated it previously but pregame for North and Eagles, the players looked tired after their warm up. Even the short sprints they usually do, players weren’t even making the required distance.
I think that Scott refused to give them an out. Kept the training loads the same, didn’t rest players etc because he knows our base fitness was quite poor (compared to other clubs).
This may be beneficial in the long run. But geez, kind of damning if our fitness levels were that bad beforehand.
i assume people know that wasn’t a live shot
right?
So, did we make finals?
We have had 20 years of the being told the list is in good shape, we just need to be patient, the future is exciting etc etc. Please can we be honest and admit that we are in no man’s land and there is a tremendous amount of work required to rebuild the club. 20 years of crap and it is hard to find a team that is in a worse position than Essendon in terms of the future.
