Out and about this morning, the amount of people I spotted wearing a Collingwood cap, scarf and/or jumper was astonishing. They’re up and about, that’s for sure. Why wouldn’t they be I guess.
New neighbour moved in across the road a few months back…we’ve had a few chats along the way and he seems like a nice bloke.
He got home yesterday just as I was getting back from the shops so we ended up having a good talk.
He’s originally from Victoria and so we were talking about footy when he asked if I was watching the game tomorrow(now today)…I said I would be and so he invited me over to his place to watch it with him and his partner…lunch, beers, football…sounds good eh?
Just one minor detail…he’s a Collingwood supporter…could be an interesting afternoon
Its weird. If that named Colingwood side was us. We’d say its crap. Frampton, Membrey, McStay, Lipinsky and multiple aged players approaching their mid thirties. Yet they are on top.
80% of our output is driven by 20% of your players. Collingwood still have an amazing top end. Something we don’t have. Every team’s bottom 5 players are crap
Still not over the robbery that was 2019.
Couldn’t get a ticket so if the umpiring is the same trash it will be off to the good guys for a new TV tomoz
With the volume of kids playing Basketball, soccer, tennis, little aths to name a few it’s only going to get worse. For the past 20 years they’ve drafted more athletes than natural footballers. Many of tne elite are father son talent as they have grown up with a footy in their hand and been gifted high performance development ops.
I liked hearing Chris Scott say last week he doesn’t respect players that need marquee or big games to be motivated. We recruit players for Anzac Day and still can’t even win it more than 25% of the time
And that mindset is the difference between the two clubs, Geelong play in big games because they are always a top 4 team while we have them gifted to us and we don’t deserve it
