I get we aren’t winning the flag and we should play the kids, but he isn’t an old man at 23 and has very good defensive skills, an excellent leader, can take a great grab also.

I swear he used to play wing back in his earlier days with us, or at the very least a very high up the ground half forward role. He’d have a tank, surely?
He may do, but Smith is next level.

If Guelfi is the best option I’d just be playing him head to head with Martin and see who does the most damage.

I’d use Guelfi on Stewart
That’s been done before pretty sure. He’s not in that same role or required as much (Stewart) with Guthrie and Humphries taking more ball back there. But could be useful in hindering their switching.
The extra tall in May forward will help keeping them semi accountable when 2MP is rucking
