I have nothing specific against this absolutely unproven chap that our cashed up and list deficient club has appointed to arguably the most important role in a modern football club.
Players at Peel thunder loved him though, so get on us for the flag.

Well being the big fat loser he certainly seems to be heāll fit right in!
a few posters and yours truly have been sying it doesnāt need to be a big established afl name for list management, anyone thats turned a culture and brought in valuable people to their org would do.
time will tell.

Haha nah not at all. Just unlucky with timing. He was very young in 06 and was always going to be up against it to hold his spot. A solid 200 game career.
And he sounds like heās really got his head screwed on properly, and is highly driven.
Letās hope he goes well.

Really like this appointment.
Young, not long out of footy, knows what itās like to be part of a club with a big supporter base and lots of pressure to deliver.

Hopefully he has the inside word on 1-2 hidden gun WAFL players to bring over immediately as rookies.

Interesting appointment.
I would have preferred to pry out someone established from a successful AFL recruiting team such as Brisbane or Melbourne, but canāt help just being relieved that some form of change is happening.
Hope he has the savviness to navigate live trading of picks, future pick trading, salary dumping opportunities and actually identifying talent and negotiating the acquisition of star players. This is where we have fallen well behind the other clubs. Can he do this? Iād be curious what his pedigree is in this regard.
Wish him well, he has one of the biggest jobs to revive this shipwreck of a club. Hopefully he is set up for success and Dodoro doesnāt spend too much time with him.

I like his CV and a tick that were going with the modern archetype for a list manager. Young and keen but with future admin aspirations. Even if successful heās only going to do this role 3-5 years max before heās looking at GM of footy roles.
Your recruiting manager needs to be an expert in assessing young talent the list manager doesnāt need to be. Need both to be good to be effective.
