Melbourne Death Ride 2025 - we’re getting the next Andy McGrath

Unless you look at his Wikipedia page. He probably did the update personally, just so we wouldn’t miss it.

Lots of pre season circle jerking PR coming out of Melbourne. Leadership. Culture. Key players in form. Blah, blah, blah…

Yet I choose to see arsehattery as president Green big names himself because he made a damaged man child cry.

Can’t image Oliver would be wrapped by this public outing as a cry baby.

Do it.

My friend injured his ACL, LCL, MCL & PCL at footy in . . . I’m gonna say 2021 or 2022.
I did an assessment on the bench and picked the PCL & MCL straight away (both were complete ruptures), ACL & LCL weren’t as clinically obvious. Crazy part was he could walk fine without crutches, just had some issues turning to the opposite side of the knee he’d injured.
Can remember he saw a Sports Doc in Croydon, who basically straight away said “this is above my pay grade BUT I’m also attending a conference with a world renowned knee surgeon in a couple of days and will get back to you”.
Couple of days later this surgeon calls says can you make it to the Alfred on Monday morning for a face-to-face convo and if everything checks out you’ll be in surgery that arvo or the next morning lol. Even did the surgery publicly rather than privately.

Turning into the NBA where players basically dictate where and who they play with which I hate.
(Though I will acknowledge teams are far more brutal with cutting & trading players than we are here).

‘Man child?’

‘Cry baby?’

No shame in crying, mate. As a 40 year old bloke, I’ve done it many times before and I’ll do it many times again.

Clayton Oliver has been through a real rough patch. Would love to see you be a good bloke and have compassion as your first impulse.

Thread is “Death Riding Melbourne”.

Not “Ethical and Positive Support for a Club We Would Do Well From If They Ended Low On The Ladder “

It is basically 85% taking the mock on the club, its players and (even worse) players injuries.

Maybe this thread isn’t for you.

Nothing wrong with a bit of good ol’ shitposting.

And in the same breath, you disappointingly trivialised mental health issues which, in all likelihood, is beneath you as a person.

There’s no right or wrong thread to raise this.

We held a talented forward to his contract too who wanted out and out of Melbourne.

I could point out that “man child” and “cry baby” are pretty benign run of the mill insults with common usage not being synonyms suggesting mental health issues.

With no apparent awareness of hypocrisy, you feel ok taking a base sh1tpost and associate mental health issues to someone on a public forum. Then you one up yourself by throwing insults at me.

But rather than taking the high ground…
You are a cry baby.
Or a troll.
Probably both.

About 2 minutes away from a champing

where are they playing, does it look like a rock hard cow paddock

@premature_rookie_ele hope you are on standby…

I’m going early … Melbourne are a bottom 6 team.

I choose to ignore:

  • Q2 of a pre season game
  • Playing away in Freo
  • Freo widely tipped to be top 8-

Sure, but not when you’re referring to Clayton Oliver and the circumstances at play.

I said trivialising mental health issues is beneath you, insinuating that you’re probably a decent person. It was an attempt to appeal to the side of you that’s kind. Too vague? Maybe. Hypocrisy or insults? No.

Fair enough.
