Stories like this will make Merrett want out even more next year. I’d be trying to move him to the Giants, their midfield is their weakness, his 2 best mates are now up there and we could get back some of their abundance of small forwards which is a weakness in our side. Plus the Giants will pay overs in trade capital wanting to sign a star which is rare for them.

This is a great shout! I fear though that if Zerrett were to join up with his amigos that the Giants would turn to custard…which would be a shame as I don’t mind them as footy club. Rather he got traded to Hawthorn and blew them up instead!!

Not sure if you’re being serious here, Giants are in the window and Greene is their captain, getting rid of him would be counter intuitive and he’s old now. We can take advantage and fast track our rebuild filling the small forward gap and getting in some high picks. Giants are also my second team and I think Merrett is just what they need to push them over the mountain for a flag as their midfield is weak, but their f50 and defence are elite.
