I still think the Demons will be top 4-6 this year. A few months ago I was in the minority with other posters on this prediction, I think they’re going to be a pretty strong outfit.

All reports have Oliver training well. Track has had a few minor setbacks but he’s the ultimate professional.

If big Gawn stands up, Lever and May have injury free seasons I can see them in the second week of the finals.

I’ve always thought this.

Just read that clarry was bog in their match sim.

Oh yeah and they have the easiest draw in the league, which we should’ve (I say should as this club is hopeless at most things) been identified as a strong possibility when we made the trade as they finished in the 3rd bracket in 2024.

They’ve also done a club wide review and are putting measures in place to fix culture and tension areas. CEO going. If they’ve got stability and unity, they’ll be there or thereabouts.

It’s a pretty ‘weak’ and even comp, they might not have to be brilliant to see a top 6 position.

This easiest/hardest draw discussion in a comp that saw 4 wins separating 3rd from 14th is nonsense.

We won’t know who’s draw was easiest until round 24 this year.

So Brad is right the comp is on a knifes edge

So Brad is right his job is on a knifes edge - fixed!

You’re right - outside of the bottom 3 (who they get 2/3) it will be very even.

Again you’re making presumptions on the bottom 3. West coast improved their list in the off season bringing in Baker and Owies as well as natural growth. North also improved their list adding Daniel and Parker as well as top 2 pick. I can’t see how they are worse than their 5 and 3 win seasons respectively.

The only guaranteed cellar dweller is Richmond whom we also have twice. After that I think this seasons ladder is guess work.

Melbourne star Kysaiah Pickett has sparked a trade storm after liking several social media posts linking him to the Fremantle Dockers.

The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to West Australia last year but a move never eventuated.

However, ahead of the 2025 AFL season, it has once again been suggested Pickett will be traded to Fremantle after he reportedly told Demons coach Simon Goodwin in his exit interview last year that he was homesick and wanted a trade for family reasons.

And Pickett has only added fuel to the fire that he will be in purple next year after liking several posts across Facebook and Instagram linking him to the Dockers this week.

The most recent case came on Friday when he liked a comment by a Fremantle fan page on Facebook that stated the Dockers signing his cousin Isiah Dudley was all part of a ploy to lure him to the west.

The post also stated that Pickett was close friends with Fremantle’s new recruits Shai Bolton and Quinton Narkle and their signings were all part of a larger plan to bring ‘Kozzy’ back home.

“He is Kozzy Pickett’s cousin. Bolton and (Quinton) Narkle are Kozzy’s best mates. All part of the plan baby!” a post from the Flagmantle account stated.

Pickett also liked an Instagram post by another Dockers fan account which said he was interested in joining the club.

The 23-year-old also follows many of the Fremantle squad, including Bolton, Narkle, vice-captain Caleb Serong, defender Jordan Clark and young gun Hayden Young.

Its funny how the AFL damage control / integrity division has managed to spin this like it was 6 on 6 and the footballers were just minding their own business.

Sounds like it was more like 10 on 2. And May started it.

Fractured eye sockets and hospitalisations involved. Id have thought that jail time could be on the cards here.

Last night, I watched a Melbourne interview with Harrison Petty about his preseason…

He said he is spending some sessions training as a defender.

Maybe it’s just to cover the departure of Tomlinson…but maybe it’s also an insurance policy in case Steven May has to serve a “period of reflection”.

Ralph going really early.

Also, didn’t Stephen May get into a fight at the Sorrento Hotel same time last year??

I know he got in a fight with Melksham. Don’t know it that was in Sorrento though.
