Agree Dank is the only one who knows exactly what he injected into the players. Many suspect cheap placebos.
However in his address in Zurich in 2013 Harcourt reported that samples from Essendon players in 2012 were sent to the Cologne laboratory for testing, supposedly the most sophisticated drug detecting laboratory in the world. Nothing more was heard about this. If they had found anything it would have been all over the news and used against the players.
So if they test positive for some illegal drug they are guilty, but if they test negative to the presence of any illegal drugs they are still guilty.
The next time these samples came to light were when they were tested using the ‘new’ detection screen for TB4 just before CAS which showed elevated levels of TB4 in a couple of Essendon players but higher levels of TB4 in multiple numbers of players from other clubs which were used as the control group.
CAS ‘that’s not the result we wanted’ dropped the results from the ‘evidence’ but were still alluded to in the final papers.

The Board would not have known Bruce was there until he registered. They would be very naive if they didn’t expect questions about the saga especially given the Warner article. The Tanner response was ill-informed, inaccurate and unprofessional. Calling out the HS and their article when for 6 years the media have been given a field day on slapping our club.
You may be right about the Board wanting to avoid scrutiny but being a Board Member carries responsibly to stand up and show leadership during tough times not just turn up on match days to have a gourmet lunch and a few wines.
I’m not a twitter follower but there is certainly a couple of videos from the AGM that are available.

Agree totally. On that issue though, what does a life membership actually get you? Like a paid membership forever I assume, but is the card fancy and gold or something? Do you get a certificate made in MS Paint? Do you get a special key that you can use at the Hangar to get into the basement area where the Drug Dungeon is or something?
Think it gives you access to the Shisha.

Throughout the whole saga there were many, many things that ■■■■■■ me off but one of the biggest was the lack of protection of Hird, Watson etc. by the ‘leaders’ of the club. To let CW spew continual bile and peddle AFL lies about James and our ‘leaders’ did nothing. To let the media camp outside James’ house and harass him and our club did nothing.
David Evans chose Gil and Vlad over Essendon. Shouldn’t be allowed back at the club until he comes clean publicly to the Essendon members. Certainly should not be offered life membership. What a joke and I’ll be writing to the club to let them know. It feels like a kick in the guts. I urge others to do the same.

Yeah, but if you look at the numbers, it drops down to $2M if you cut out govt grants. They also have debt.
You might want to read the fine print. Oh you can’t. They haven’t published it on their website like we do. Actually they have fark all on their website re internal goings on etc compared to us.

I reckon you should bring it up in the next AGM. i think the members in attendance will take it very well.

That would be fine, if it didn’t infect every. single. other. aspect. of the club.
But it does.
It affects our coaching appointments.
It affects our players.
It affects our brand.
It affects our members and supporters.
And that’s not because of Bruce Francis, it’s because of how the administration of this club has chosen and continues to choose how to deal with it.
Clear air is a joke.
Ask any supporter of any other club.
