He’s 19, not exactly a ruckman for “now”.
More of a project that Vigo or Gerreyn, would likely be years off making an impact.
Don’t really see how he fits with the current list.

Yeah too young. I can only imagine we’d go someone like that if we thought either of Bryan or Draper was going to leave and we needed another future prospect
Massimo Raso, bring him in
Raso
Krueger
Foley
Crossley
Would cover our bases nicely
Anyone know much about Charlie McCarrtin?
Another Massimo… he’ll go well with our other one… oh hang on…
I’d love McMahon from the blues VFL as a tall forward we don’t really have much coverage there long term
I wonder what the story is with Hunter?
I had the impression we delisted him because we thought his back was stuffed, and here he was playing WAFL, successfully, at the start of the season. I know he is currently out with a hand/finger break, but that would not be a long term issue, you would think.
I wonder what our reason for delisting him was, and whether there is any likelihood of a rethink.
We shouldn’t be looking at anyone over the age of 24 at the MSD.
How old was tom stewart when geelong picked him up.
22 or 23 for memory
Good luck finding 4 or 5 players under that age who have or will have the ability to play AFL
The point with drafting is many are failures. Especially outside the first round. That doesn’t mean you stop doing it
Any standout small forwards we could take?
I dont mind giving krueger a spot can play multiple positions.
Massimo Raso
We don’t need to find players who can play AFL straight away, As long as they have the tools to eventually play AFL.
This season is a write off, we don’t need top ups.
Not for me, but I could be wrong on him. He’s basically another Nik Cox. 199cm skinny kid who can run and with plenty of skills but no clearly established position. He can play some ruck at talent league level but I’m not sure that will fly at AFL level. He’s not physical and competitive enough to be a key forward I don’t think. If we picked him we’d end up with another 200cm skinny kid playing wing.
He’s been better this year than last, but I think he’d take a lot of development before he’d be ready to play AFL and is that really what you want from a MSD pick?
Which is why I’d use one or two selections to pick up senior VFL players who could help us win a few VFL finals which could become a launching pad for the club that hasn’t had success in mens football for a decade.
Use the first three for the future and the last one or two picks to “game the system” and improve our odds in the reserves which would help the development of the young guys who need more senior mature leadership at that level.
I also think a guy like Brew wouldn’t play an AFL game if we brought him in, but the way he approaches footy as an ammo would have a positive influence on the young guys who haven’t had to work half as hard for their opportunity. He also doesn’t take game time away from any of our young mids in the reserves because we don’t have any that aren’t already in the seniors.
