Mid season draft 2026

my worry is he is short and looks like his best form was last year when that highlights were filmed

still one of the best players in the VFL

Iam not saying he isn’t Iam just saying he was in better form last year and wasn’t taken and I think he is too small for the afl.

Ollie Griffen then his mate Arki Butler in the National Draft

he is 184cm, he’d battle Redman for an intercepting rebounding role but

Not saying your wrong but the only thing I could find said he was 180

Tigers are playing Sam Cumming 3 more weeks, then putting him in for shoulder surgery to get another pick in the mid season draft.

apologies, got the other Saint father son mixed up, Tyson Milne. He’s 184cm, Jacko is 180cm

Another taller option over Voss for a rebounding defender is Hugo Hall-Kahan. 188cm who was originally drafted by Sydney as a forward now plays as a defender. He shows decent running and pace. I haven’t seen him play but he is apparently rated in this mid-season crop.

Louie Montgomery another 184cm rebounding defender as well.

both are responders, distributors. I think we have this covered in Farrow, Johnson, Redman.

Interesting to note that Nick Staropoli is playing in our VFL side tomorrow. Good to see him up close

Whoever we get, we need legspeed. The team is desperately slow. Given where we at, Im not too bothered if they are an inside mid, outside mid, back or forward, just make sure they have some serious wheels.

Yeah I wasn’t sure about Hall-Kahan, but from what I’ve seen in Montgomery was more sort of run and carry in his last few outings.

I saw that Calder had posted about Strapoli last night. Good to see him up.

I would hope that we look at best available talent in the MSD. Ideally would be Ollie Griffin, maybe even Sam Toner or Oscar Cail.

Really? They would already have a heap of picks, is there a source on this?

Looking at the AFL injury list, Gibcus is the only richmond player listed as out for the season. Mansell’s foot could go that way too, I guess, but the rest of them you probably wouldn’t put on the inactive list.

Plenty of sources.
They could have got the surgery done earlier in the year (shoulder injury was in pre season), but wanted to give him a taste of AFL Footy first.

Yze has just confirmed that they are aiming to get him through the season and do the surgery post.

Yze’s quote today is that they hope to get him through the season

Gibcus out for the season again!? Wow, He’s out more than Reid. Can’t take a trick!

Wasnt he the one delisted by St Kilda? Pretty sure he has a horrible off field manner and put the whole club offside.

Give us NH-H
