If we have pick 1 in a mid season draft with some of the guns that have been previously uncovered, and we can’t take a player it would be a huge blunder (completely understand it will take a LTI) but it would be a huge miss.

Been some gems uncovered like Newcombe and even Durham. If we have pick 1 we must find a way to draft, exactly the sort of bonus mechanism we need to continue our full blown rebuild.

I would caution that 2021 MSD was pretty strong, but that may have been because those players didn’t play much in 2020 so that draft was a bit of a crapshoot. 2021 may not be representative of a normal MSD strength.

There isn’t really a player you could tap to retire.

Probably only Cox is a chance (I don’t hope that happens by the way)

But more than ever there are mature age gems out there if Rosa and co are looking hard enough.

If a pick opens up and Bryan recovery doesn’t go as expected we may be forced to look at another experienced ruck

I’m pretty sure you can’t delist players midseason, unless they’ve done something particularly egregious. Players can retire.

Good point though you cant tell me in the entire land theres not a handful of (at worst) solid future best 22 capable players available that for one reason or another (form, injury) are flourishing now with the extra 8 months from last year’s draft to the MSD.
