VFLW goal-scoring has been mediocre in recent years. Lots of big names below; to the extent I don’t even bother putting a full name to all but the most recent of them. 2021 was the first year where was any overlap of the AFLW and VFLW seasons (the VFLW season started the day before the AFLW Grand Final) – so the below tallies are not greatly constrained by that.
- 2016 (VWFL, pre-AFLW, 18 H&A games rather than 14, and this is the best ever tally in the VWFL): 104 by Hope
- 2017: 32 by Brennan and Molloy
- 2018: 26 by Vescio (but only 17 before the final round…)
- 2019: 21 by Lambert
- 2021: 20 by Imogen Barnett
