Footage from a passenger inside the plane.
Heroic effort from the pilots who fought their damaged plane past 3 Russian airports which denied them permission to land, stayed airborne over the Caspian Sea which would have claimed all onboard and hidden the missile damage and then NEARLY pulled off a landing. Those that survived did so because of an incredible piece of flying.
Amazing job by the pilots but I’m still staggered at why they initially didn’t turn back to Baku as soon as it was apparent that fog would prevent them from landing in Grozny. Such a short flight and immediate turnaround is the protocol as a rule and shouldn’t be looking at a diversion
Not pretty. Video. No landing gear

No emergency was declared, hence the lack of emergency vehicles on the apron.
Death toll up to 62
Why would it not be an emergency when it was the second attempt at a landing? Surely they knew the landing gear was an issue, hence why they were making an emergency landing?
There’s a lot that doesn’t make sense right now.
Even with no gear, that plane should have stopped well before it hit the embankment at the end of the runway. No emergency vehicles.
No evidence of flaps or spoilers being deployed.
Fire Department: “All passengers who crashed at Muan Airport are presumed dead except for 2 survivors”
UPDATE from South Korean media:
Emergency Services have recovered the bodies of 85 passengers and transferred them to a makeshift morgue at the end of the runway.
The job of identifying the remains of the 94 missing will now be transferred to their medical examiners office, once fire services have concluded with extinguishing the wreckage
The two survivors were recovered from the tail section of the plane and have been transferred to hospital in a serious condition.
Too much just doesn’t add up for me and that’s not to mention that the data doesn’t even match up with the footage and from those that know the airport believe
