Missing/crashed planes, and other aviation mis/adventures

A few of the MSM now reporting Air India not ruling out sabotage of that 787 Flight 171 a few weeks back.

Some might say well Air India would do that. The black boxes are under scrutiny that’s for sure.

I read a number of experts and ex pilots seem to be pointing to pilot error at the time when one engine failed.

Dunno …

My sister in law is on Vietjet VJ94 flight Mel - HAN today. Looks like it has diverted to Alice Springs. About to land

Any ideas @Aceman

The UN aviation agency, namely the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), has reportedly requested observer status for one of its investigators already present in India. However, Indian authorities have reportedly declined the request. According to Reuters, this is the first time ICAO has requested to be directly involved in an investigation.

The last time ICAO investigators assisted in air accident investigations was during cases like the downing of a Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777-300ER in 2014 and a Ukrainian International Airlines Boeing 737 in 2020.

Received an update on VJ94. Apparently a passenger had a stroke and required urgent medical attention

Yes, that is the update. I hadn’t being following it so was unaware of the incident. Looks like crew hours was still fine and they continued though thankfully for those remaining onboard

I’ve been a part of so many data breaches over the last few years. Vic Roads, Medibank, Optus, Telstra.

Reminder to make sure you use unique complex password for each of you online accounts and change them regularly (at least every year).

Especially your mobile device as count (AppleID, etc…) and banking passwords.

Melbourne yesterday. Nice way to put a Jetstar 788 out of action for some time.

Can’t be Melbourne, sky is not black and it’s not raining😜
Seriously though how the fark does that happen, I spent many years around those hangars and there is plenty of room to manoeuvre.

Unlucky to lose your company that way. I guess they never considered or properly mitigated the operating or insurance risk.
