QF7 (Sydney - DFW) A380 has squawked 7700 and has turned around 3 hours into it’s flight.

And has since decided everything is OK:

They lied to me via graphics!

That’s not cool.

Captain advised of Medical emergency.

All staying onboard and doing a quick turnaround to head off again

Long flight!
6 hours + turnaround + 17 hours.

From someone in ATC Sydney:

A child had a serious anaphylactic reaction to the peanuts/snacks that were handed out hours into the flight. But the EpiPen presented/used had expired.

That’s horrific.

Not great and hopefully the child has recovered. An expired EpiPen is still better than not having one and the decision was made that it wasn’t life threatening which allowed them to return to SYD

An expired epi pen is often no different to a non expired one, assuming it wasn’t years out of date.
It’s just a legal nightmare if something did happen to go wrong.

Fancy forgetting to put the chocks down!

I read it was hooked to the tow vehicle while still connected to the air bridge

Yes, it’s more the aircraft hitting the air bridge than the other way around.
