Missing/crashed planes, and other aviation mis/adventures

AFP trying to decide whether they’re allowed on the plane without jackboots.

Three hours does seem a little long to wait.

I don’t think I’d like to be on his flight.

Many years ago I lost my cool and drove through a boom gate but I’ve never got a axe out and started chopping one up
And FWIW most pilots I know are fairly highly wired so while they are like ice in the cockpit in everyday they life they tend to have short fuses. It’s a very stressful job and alcoholism is rife amongst the industry

Today’s it will buff-out. Perhaps. 15yo airframe looks pretty busted up.

Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-890 (N516AS), performing flight #AS1288 from Seattle, WA, to Santa Ana, CA, suffered damage upon arrival at its destination Santa Ana Airport (KSNA/SNA) during the Hurricane Hilary, in California.

Vision of the landing from inside the plane. I’m wondering how difficult it would be to keep the plane in a straight line down the runway on that angle and if the weather may have helped prevent sparks igniting.

1000’s of flights in the region cancelled due to the winds and yet some still risking it at the airport that is infamous for its short runway.
A 15yo aircraft with a wing and landing gear destroyed plus a stack of potential structural damage would normally see it thrown on the scrap heap but with shortage of aircraft I think they will fix it.

Twin Otter vs Squirrell, St Barth. It will buff out.

One way to stop I guess.

Crashed is correct. Wings well and truly clipped.

Reports of yet another Military Chopper down in the NT

“Mass casualties feared”

They don’t seem very safe, even has its own dedicated wiki page

During their early years of operation the joke was that the Osprey was the most efficient military aircraft in existence, because you didn’t even need the enemy to kill you. I thought most of the bugs had been ironed out now. But even safe and bug-free aircraft can still crash through pilot error etc of course.

I’m not sure what the purpose is of a Hercules spinning circles at 10,000 feet is going to achieve
