Martin quickly finding out what a bucket of crap that Aprilla is to ride, poor bugger is already in for surgery after a nasty crash in testing, going to be a tough 2025 for the reigning world champ imo.
Doesn’t seem right.
On a brighter note, Jack is looking ok on the Yamaha.
Looking forward to Round 1 this weekend. Bummer for Martin, apparently missing the first couple of rounds at least. Will be very hard to defend his title from there, if it wasn’t already. Pecco Vs Marquez should be most entertaining. Also interesting to see what Acosta can bring this year.
Yep, it’s great to have MotoGP back. Should be an exciting year. Hope Martin recovers well and is back soon.
MotoGP and footy….life returning to normal.
The Yamahas look to have improved , which will make Fabio a more serious contender. And the bike probably suits Jack better as well. If he trusts the front end to not chatter on corner entry he should go reasonably well too.
Well MotoGP is back and delivered plenty of excitement over the weekend. Not a happy ending for Kelso who was managing to stay with the front pack.
Agius, despite a long lap penalty found himself on the podium again.
And, it was a Marquez family affair in both the sprint and race. A very special weekend for their family.
Pecco started the weekend not so well in practice but finished on the podium twice so made some huge gains there.
Jack’s sprint race started well……as did the main race where he managed to finish as the top Yamaha rider- with damaged fairing, so kudos to him.
The conditions were beyond challenging -Pecco said he had blisters on his hands!
Motogp riders are amazing.
Argentina up next….should be very interesting.
Some great rides from Ogura too. It’ll be very interesting to see how Martin goes once he’s back.
KTM are complaining of tyre troubles , with Acosta noting that the rear tyre was unhooking unexpectedly and when he caught the slides it then pushed the front too much.
Hope a couple of riders can step up soon to challenge at the front. As good as Marc is, and as Alex may soon be, I’m going to tire of the Marquez show pretty quickly. Hard to see the next race (US) being much different at this stage.
Next few circuits are Marquez favourites historically…but it’s MotoGP so anything can happen.
Extraordinary to see 2 brothers taking 1st and 2nd twice at each circuit.
Frankie went well as did Zarco.
Bad start for Jack but he made the most of it.
Kelso hung in there for 8th and Senna did ok considering his grid position.
Finally caught up on the whole Moto3 race. Huge effort by Kelso after serving 2 long lap penalties and a red hot race from start to finish - worth watching.
How good is the Cagiva Elefant!? I doubt I’ve seen one in 20 years. Back in the days where you could buy a more-or-less-stock Dakar Rally bike and pretend you were Edi Orioli
I still have my original '83 Yamaha Tenere, but although I would like to be, I’m not Stephane Peterhansel either.
Has anyone here ventured to Tooradin on a Thursday morning for a coffee and a catch up? Got the chance to wander around about a month ago and will have to go back when I get the chance.
