MotoGp. 2026. Phillip Island Swansong

They should bring back the Island classic. All the old bikes, was a great event.

The 2026 Phillip Island Penrite 100 Classic (formerly the Island Classic) is a premier, three-day historic motorsport festival held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from March 13–15, 2026

Brilliant event, I’ve been going for years. Walking the car park is just as much fun as the racing.

I only went once in 1990. Eddie Lawson and Wayne Gardiner , Never had the chance to go again and it just slipped off the calendar, maybe this year. Don’t have a bike any longer, not sure about going in the Tesla.

Should be okay In the Tesla, you wouldn’t be the only one. But, it is better to rock up in a classic car. However, me and my Suzuki Vitara go just fine.

Same sounding event, but that is a cars only event. Good event, historics are great to watch.

Thanks for that, I did not know. We let the others know

Formula E anymone? What too soon

It’ll be a sad day when the circuit is sold off to developers and turned into a thousand 400m2 blocks with 38sq houses jammed onto them. Sigh.

I don’t think that happens. They’ve denied development for 20 years , hence we are where we are now.

Digi has publicly lamented the loss of a uniquely fast track to the tour.

I’m now taking an insanely optimistic view. Spain has multiple GP’s per season. So should Australia :+1::grin:

Still owned by Lindsay isn’t it?

This wouldn’t have happened under Dans watch :squinting_face_with_tongue:

I’ll be there Saturday, 2nd best racing event of the year!

Very entertaining start to the season with Ducati served a lesson from Aprilia, KTM and race officials.

I thought the Marquez penalty for being a bully boy (again) in the sprint was fair. Well done Pedro.

Bezzechi looks the one to watch early, following on from his strong finish to 2025.

Great to see Martin getting competitive.

Marc is extremely lucky ( and ridiculously skilled) to not be in hospital after that tyre deflation.

Acosta is the next great talent.
